From meandering paved trails to pupil-dilating downhill screamers, biking opportunities here include:

Gitchi Gami State Trail. When completed, the Gitchi-Gami State Trail will be an 86 mile non-motorized, paved trail between Two Harbors and Grand Marais, Minnesota, connecting communities, state parks and attractions along the North Shore of Lake Superior. The 5 miles of trail between Schroeder and Tofte takes you through woodland glades, a view of Carlton Peak, past Tofte Town Park, and over thrilling waterfalls at Temperance River State Park. The section from Tofte east to just past the Onion River is an easy ride parallel to Highway 61.

Pincushion Mountain Recreation Area. Offers single track and other trails along a variety of well-marked loops that vary in length and difficulty.
